Vintage Belleville Asbestos Shingle Cutter

The Belleville Asbestos Shingle Cutter is stamped in raised letters on the bulkhead of this Vintage Tool. Tool weighs 9 lbs. and made mostly of cast iron. Appears lever handle action has two possible functions; cutting asbestos shingles at the base and piercing shingles at top. The tool closed is 12" High and 18" Long.. The cutting blade is 2 1/2" Long.
T are other raised letter stampings on the tool: On the handle is Patent Applied For and 65B; on the base is Belleville Ill, Specialty Tool Mfrs. and 63; on the piercing head is 62B; on the Bulkhead is 60B; on the blade piece is 61B. Tool appears to be in very good working condition and having little noticeable wear; a little surface rust and t but nothing serious. The 3 small cotter pins on one side keeping the linkeage together are new. Underneath the base at the Bulkhead end is a hole appearing 1/4" female threaded; I don't know what was screwed in t; probably something to secure the base; whatever it was it was missing when tool came into my hands. Shipping cost is flat $15.00 for UPS Ground to Continental 48 US States only. Buyer will have 7 days from receiving item to inspect item and request a refund for any reason not satisfied.
