Vintage 8" Betsy McCall Doll in lovely homemade outfit. Also included is the Betsy McCall "Birthday Party" Outfit in original box -never removed from box and the booklet "The story of the new Betsy McCall and her fabulous fashions. The Betsy doll has reddish blonde hair and 2 metal clips. She has delicate facial coloring and sleep eyes. She is wearing a homemade blue blouse, matching long skirt accented with ruffles and pink embroidery and a bonnet. Her white cotton slip has lace trimming. She has white panties, white socks and white plastic Betsy McCall shoes. There is a split at the crotch of her body and a tiny crack at the top of the left knee. She is marked "McCall Corp" on her back. The "Birthday Party" outfit is in the original box marked B-20 and contains the yellow party dress, matching panties, straw type hat, socks and black Betsy McCall shoes. These items have never been removed from the box. The box itself has a few bends and minor tears and the top flap has come loose, but all pieces are here. The booklet is dated 1958 and in very good condition. See pictures for details. Ask questions if needed. These charming items come from a smoke free private collection.
