Two wonderful 1870's - 1880's all original vintage cabinet photographs of a well-dressed black woman and couple. First photo shows young, well-dressed, black couple. Couple is standing and photo is full length in front of studio backgound. Front of photos is maker marked: J.D. Strunk 730 Penn St Reading P.A. Photo measures approximately 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches and features fancy cut edges. Back of photo shows elaborate photographer's logo featuring illustration of camera and other photo equipment. Back of photo reads: Strunk Artistic Photographer 730 Penn St. Reading P.A. Please see auction photos. Second photo shows attractive young black woman in fancy dress. Photos is maker marked on front: R.W. Holsinger & Co., Charlottesville, Virginia. Approximate size of photo is approximately 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches. Back of photo has nice maekr information: R.W. Holsinger & Co. Photographers 403 East Main Street, Charlottesville, Virginia, Over Gleason & Bailey's. Negatives preserved. Please see auction photos. Both cabinet photographs show normal wear, stains several chips etc. Both are very solid condition for age and show great detail. Wonderful addition to any early American photo collection!
