VINTAGE BLATZ BEER BARREL MAN LIGHTED ANIMATED CLOCK

This is a great vintage BLATZ BEER BARREL MAN lighted and animated clock! Both the light and the clock work well and the clock appears to keep time. It has a movable (bobble) head and arms. We think this may have been made to sit on top of a cash register as it has two adjustable metal plates on the bottom that were covered with an adhesive (no longer sticky). It sits flat on the plates as well. T is a mechanism inside the clock that moves once every minute to cause the head to move forward and the arms to shift. Both are bobbable (is that a word??) all the time, but when the mechanism engages, they move with a purpose.

The clock is in very, very nice condition with one exception...it appears that the beer man's left hand is supposed to be holding the top half of a pair of cymbals, but it is missing. The bottom one is t When the mechanism engages and the arms shift, it was supposed to look like the beer man was clanging the cymbals. (They are plastic, so it wouldn't have really made any noise). We don't think this really detracts from the appearance or action of the clock...we didn't even notice it right away. The only other strange thing is that t is a tiny bandaid on the back of his neck. We don't know why it is t, it doesn't look or feel like it is covering anything like a crack or chip, but it looks like it has been t for awhile. Oh, and the BLATZ sticker on the back reads from right to left. It was made that way, so that isn't a bad thing, just odd. Other than that, everything is in very nice condition. We did not find any chips, cracks, dents or paint loss. Colors are still bright and all seems to work as it should. A really nice collectible!
