This Turquoise Blue Blenko Decanter is Architectural Scale at 27 inches tall. This is the largest of the Husted designed 6212 series. I believe this 6212L large size was only made for two years in 1963 & 1964. Those are the only two years I found this big size in Blenko catalogs. This Blenko turquoise blue decanter & stopper are in excellent vintage condition. The decanter & stopper measure 27 inches tall with the stopper alone being 14 inches long. The body is 16 inches tall. The decanter is a fat 10 ½ inches at the widest point with a base diameter of 6 inches. The glass is clean & bright. I do not know if this decanter ever had any liquid in it. The only things I see are a very few tiny water spots, spots not stains, inside. They appear to me as if a few drops of water fell in while the exterior was being washed. There are no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs & no sickness. There are a few small scattered air bubbles inherent to hand blown glass present. The rim is fire polished & smooth. The stopper is hollow with the very bottom being ground & open on that end. The tip is fire polished smooth. The stopper is designed to fit loosely in the neck. There is almost no bottom wear. There may be a few light surface scratches or scuffs however I did not note any.
