Vintage Blue & White Enamel Washboard - Graniteware

It is an old "National" washboard. No. 1870. "The Enamel King". The scrubbing surface has a design with a dark blue and white speckled enamelware surface. The blue is almost black. The washboard is 24" tall x 12" wide. It has been well used. The blue & white granite is in very good condition. On the reverse side, the metal scrubbing panel has an unusual pattern design.The 2 sides were used for different fabrics. The enamel side was used to scrub delicate and fine fabrics. The metal side was used to scrub heavy and coarse fabrics.The wood and metal could be cleaned and polished or it could be displayed as it is. Nice old country primitive. A stand out in a washboard collection. Something colorful to display. We have other country primitives listed at this time.
