Early Vintage Blue and White Stoneware GIRL FEEDING DOG Pitcher - Rare Find! This is shown on page 42 of the Salt Glaze Stoneware Book by Taylor and Lowrance. Book notes Girl and Dog Pitcher framed in a simple oval on each side, the dog sits on his haunches awaiting a treat from his master who is kneeling. This is the identical form as shown in the right side book photo of the girl and dog pitcher with the blue sponging. Book notes that most often plain pieces were sponged but some more detailed ones were rarely glazed with the sponging, as noted "a sponged example like this one degree beyond extremely rare". 's you chance to own this wonderful estate find! Don't pass this one up! Came for an Ohio estate and what a treasure! Dates to early 1900's and measures 9 inches tall and about 8 inches at the widest point from handle to spout. Great old piece of stoneware pottery - super find for your kitchen or simply as decoration! ** SUPER CONDITION AND SO CLOSE TO MINT CONDITION ** T are no chips cracks or hairlines, and very clean and crazing is uniform and light. T is just the tiniest flea bite at the top inside rim, does not detract from in the beauty in any way but we want to be thorough.
