Bockling, Made in Germany: 6 - Wine Glasses and Rack! This is a wonderful lot of beautiful green stemmed German wine glasses, made by Bockling. There are no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. Excellent Condition. Measurements: 4 1/2" tall by 2 3/4" across the diameter. The rack is Rod Iron with a decorative leaf. This beautiful and unusual set was purchased at an estate sale - mint condition. A little history? R�mer or Roemer Glass is a traditional German Wine Glass with a green stem that looks coiled, topped by a clear bowl. They are called R�mer as a tribute to the Romans, who brought the wine grapes to Germany in the 4th century. The green stem comes from the potash and sand from the forest, called ?forest glass?.
