This auction is for a vintage book about the 100th BOMBARDMENT GROUP (H) and attached service organizations during WWII, and is titled "CONTRAILS My War Record"
One Hundredth Bombardment Group (H) Eighty-Third Service Group Four Hundred and Fifty-Sixth Sub-Depot Four Hundred and Twelfth Air Service Group The printing date of this book is 1947 By Contrails publication Inc. Has a total of 292 pages. Contrails is a written record of what a number of young Americans did to help win World War II. This book shows in the table of contents Group commanders and staff, armament, communications,engineering, intelligence,religion,training,Headquarters,transportation, station hospital, base chemical, group operations,216 finance section,592 postal unit,station defense,1285 station police, 2110th fire fighting platoon,1141 quartermaster company. wars end. Also information and pictures of the 349th, 350th,351st, and the 418th BOMBARDMENT SQUADRON. Base Service command of the Eighty third service Group, The Four Fifty-Sixth Sub Depot, Four twelfth air service group, and more. The Forward is by Henry H. Arnold - General of the Army Commanding U.S. Army Air Forces. This book is in pretty good shape for its age. see pictures above for they are the actual pictures of the book. The first page inside the book has a rip.(see pictures)....Cover has a few little dings on the cover and back cover, but nothing bad. The pages are yellow with age. I do not see any writing inside or outside this book. All pages are attached and in good shape. Please ask questions before bidding for all sales are final.
