Up for sale or auction is one of a large collection of dog figurines collected over a lifetime. I have recently moved from NYC to Vermont, w I have much less space to display them properly in my bed and breakfast and antiques shop, due to a loss of shelf space, so I am drastically thinning out my smalls to focus more on country furniture and primitive antiques. I literally have thousands of dogs to list, and of course like most collectors, I still buy some when the price is right. I have listed them by breed in my ebay store, but please use the search function, as sometimes I goof when listing things and put it in the wrong category. I have cats too, and they are listed separately under misc. antiques................THIS PARTICULAR FIGURINE IS A TERRIER OF SOME KIND, LOOKS LIKE A FOX OR JACK RUSSELL OR BORDER TERRIER, THO I HAVE NO IDEA REALLY AS IS RATHER STYLIZED. MADE OF CERAMIC OR PORCELAIN signed JAPAN IN BLACK ON THE BASE, VERY CUTE!!! REPAIRED FRONT FOOT, THO COULD BE A FIRING MARK, HARD TO SAY. CHAINED WITH TWO EVEN SMALLER PUPPIES WITH A METAL CHAIN. DATES TO THE LATE 30'S OR SO. Make sure you look at the photos I have included with each listing carefully, as a picture is worth a thousand words as to condition and color.
