Up for auction is a very hard to find Boston Fire Dept. Leather Cairns & Brothers Fire Helmet. This helmet looks like it's seen alot of use and a grate collectors item. The leather front holder has Boston Fire Dept with a pat No. 1,889,537. This helmet has the front shield, D-Ring and head liner still attached. It looks like it's had some repairs to the rear brim. TYhe liner has some damage wear it attaches to the helmet but it is still attached. I beleive it is a size Large because on the tag inside the hemet it has an L on one side. Over all this helmet is in good shape and would make a great Christmas gift to a collector. If you have any questions please ask.
