Up for b id is a Vintage Horse & Jockey Box Locket . The locket measures 1 inch long without bale and 1 3/16ths with bale by a tad more then 3/4 inches wide. The locket is slightly less then 1/4 inch thick. The locket has a hinged closure. The top or front of the locket is embossed with a Horse and Jockey. The sides of the locket has little squares in the metal work with very thin fine lines in each square. I am not sure whether this locket is gold filled or gold plated or a combination of both, if possible. The top of the locket has some has some gold color wearing to the surface and has a copper appearance. The back is still a shiny yellow gold color. The locket is not marked anywhere that I could find. This item has been worn. The locket itself is in very nice condition, but needs TLC. I have not attempted to clean or polish this item, since I was not sure how to so safely. There are fine surface scratches that would be expected of a vintage item that has been used. I think this is a neat and interesting locket. Please check my other items listed. Thank you for looking.
