Vintage Buoy Light Made by Wallace & Tiernan, Belleville,NJ Serial number WP 26987 other marks: FR 3015 by hinge, FR 3025 on braces for top hood. Brass/ Bronze Aprox. 24" tall x 13" x 11" weighs approx. 95 lbs. Battery operated This buoy light was obtained by a former Coast Guardsman when it was decommissioned many years ago by the Coast Guard. It was used on what he called a "Dolphin" off the Florida coast and, although I was told the location, I have now forgotten where. This buoy light is in very good condition with nothing broken or bent. It has the darker patina that is my personal choice but it will polish if that is your preference. The only thing I can see that is not original is the brass bolt and nut in the hinge have been replaced by a steel bolt & nut. The pointed tip is not shown in the pics but it is complete and unbroken I don't know about the working condition. The lamp changer is missing 2 bulbs and has one broken bulb. From pictures I have seen, it appears to be missing a cross piece and some kind of spacer that the lamp changer sits on and separates it from the flasher unit. It is missing the fresnel glass lens. I just saw one close on ebay ( $40.00) that was the right size to fit this light. The rubber gaskets that the lens rests on are complete and look to be in good condition. This is a a great piece for a theme restaurant or similar business. A decorative piece for the house or yard or just an interesting conversation piece. I will seriously consider all offers so don't be bashful about submitting an offer. Shipping will be UPS to the USA only. No international shipping because of the weight and size.
