For auction is this fabulous Williamsburg, Virginia estate find. This vintage lamp measures 27" tall to the top of the wreath finial. The metal painted tole shade is 9 1/2" at the top and 13" at the bottom. The base is 6 1/2" across. The wiring is sound and the lamp works. The shade appears darker in person but the flash shows it as a rich black/green color. The lamp shade can be raised or lowered by adjusting the arrow. The lamp has what would seem to be the original plastic 'dripping candles' feature. T are a couple of small areas along the top of the shades gold rim that have a bit of missing dark paint. Also, the finial appears to be a bit off kilter and I have not tried to straighten it. T is no maker's mark on the bottom. Quality is very good and the mellow patina of the aged brass is wonderful. Selling this great French lamp with no reserve and a low opening bid. Lamp with shade weights about 4 1/2 pounds.
