is an original vintage Sister Berenice watercolor painting in a nice decorative oval Victorian Brass picture frame topped with an Indian's head. Haven't seen many Indian Head picture frames lately, have you? The watercolor is a nice floral and is signed by Sr. Berenice. The brass frame is a rose theme, with indian. This is a wall-mount. The hinged hanger on the back (see photo), swings up over the indian head for wall hanging. Please note that the background of the painting is actually uniformly white, not bright on one side and dark on the other, the way my camera unfortunately makes it appear. The back and front of the frame are one piece and the foremost oval ring is one with the glass, so that if someone desires to add a painting, the front glass, with thin brass frame is removed and the painting is installed from the front. The back is lightly painted goldish, as was often done for whatever reason and t are a few stains on the back and inside (refer to photos). But I believe that you'll find this to be in good vintage condition. I thought you would find this one kind of unique and a worthwhile collectible, for both painting and frame. Inside oval (w painting is) is 8 1/4 inches x 6 1/16 inches. Exterior = 7 1/4 wide x 11 1/4 long when hanger is extended.
