2 vintage brass plated iron? sailor captain sailing bookends doorstops 6.5" tall

At first we thought these were brass, but a magnet sticks to them, so must be cast iron or cast steel with a little brass plating perhaps. Some green tarnish, just enough to give them character. Very good condition, I find no markings on them, green felt bottoms, 6.5 inches tall, each one weighs 3 pounds. Not sure if they are bookends or doorstops but quite nice. Man at the steering wheel of a sailing ship, in rain gear. Pick up is free at my store near Pittsburgh PA.
