BRASS SCHOOL BELL, c. 1895. This bell comes complete with original clapper and turned wood handle. The brass bell has a nickel plating that is still mostly intact. It is 6 1/2" high and is 3 1/4" across at the base of the bell. This is the type of bell kept on the teacher's desk in those old country schoolhouses. It has a beautiful ring and would easily get the children's attention when recess was over. Enjoy bidding on this memory of days gone by. Thanks for looking.
