For sale a highly collectable unrestored Breitling Navitimer 806 with the venus 178 movement. The watch with a black face and the small white subdials this with the new style bezel and double plane logo dates the watch concisely to the mid 1960's thus it is known as a mark IV model 806 and among collectors is considered one of, if not the best of them all. A point made in the complete price guide to watches Cooksy, Engle, Gilbert and Gilbert issue 31 page 683. The watch is in very good condition, never having been restored, the case and back in stainless steel un polished and very good no discernible damage the model and maker clearly inscribed on the case back. The face original ,un restored and in perfect condition no damage or spotting , lightly patinated it looks exactly right for a watch of this age. The face inscriptions are perfectly legible and sharp Breitling Geneva beneath the two plane logo , all four outer tracks and their markers are clear and clean , baton hour markers arabic 12 at the top of the dial are perfect as are the hands including the stop watch perfect and radium filled. The watch works perfectly keeping good time ,winding and setting smoothly all the chronograph functions work correctly including the fly back having been recently serviced , all in all a beautiful example of the model To put this watch read more
