Vintage Sterling Brenda Schoenfeld Drop Belt Buckle & Tip No Reserve I bought this at a Dallas estate sale about 20 years ago and have never worn it. Really nice to have the belt tip portion with the matching buckle. Measures 3 1/4" at widest point of buckle with of ~3", tip has width of 1 1/2" --great size Marked--"Brenda Schoenfeld 1992? 925 Mexico" on the back--see detail photo--it appears to be 1992 but I can't tell for sure Very good to excellent condition -normal wear and tear-- Very nice quality (see the detail) We are downsizing so lots of items must go see: BILLE HOUGARTS BOOK : THE LITTLE BOOK OF MEXICAN SILVER TRADE AND HALLMARKS / Brenda Schoenfeld was born in Taxco, Mexico, into a dynasty of legendary artisans. Her uncles were master silversmiths known since 1946 as "Los Castillo's", while her grandmother provided visiting European aristocracy with extravagant couture wardrobes. Brenda's formative years were an amalgam of artists, materials, form, detail and craftsmanship, a combination which significantly influenced her future. Brenda's fascination with design was cultivated and nourished, while she explored her options in the renowned Taxco workshops.Initially Brenda experimented, creating exclusive jewelry pieces for friends, but by 1990, requests for her creations grew dramatically, leading to the opening her first boutique in Dallas, Texas. Brenda was immediately recognized as the source for uniquely feminine, finely articulated silver jewelry. The success of her flagship sparked the interest of major retailers and encouraged Brenda to expand her collection into the wholesale market. By 1992, "Brenda Schoenfeld" jewelry was selling throughout the United States in over 2000 locations. In 1996, Brenda and her family moved to Europe, settling in Florence, Italy. Brenda was quickly drawn to the areas legendary artisans and their handcrafted gold jewelry. New materials and precious gems fueled a fire of excitement and creativity. Brenda embarked on a passionate exploration of gold, using modern textures in organic shapes, combined with precious and semi-precious stones. The resulting exceptional and unconventional creations were a natural progression from silver, but also provided new ideas for her craftsmen in Taxco.Brenda's maturity and creativity as an artist is now in full bloom. Living in Italy has provided her with access to artistically stimulating cities throughout Europe and Africa.
