Vintage British Sterling Silver Lidded & Footed Biscuit Box At $29.99 Save $$$$! Description: Vintage British Sterling Silver Lidded & Footed Biscuit Box This beautiful British Biscuit Box is marked on the bottom w/ three symbols as follows: the first symbol looks like a lion's head w/ a crown the next symbol looks like two fancy capital letters, (possibly a D is the first letter and not sure of the second - perhaps you can make it out in the photo) the last symbol are two keys crossing each other This measures 7" tall w/ the handle and is 9" wide at the base The lid opens w/ a hinge at the back. The front center of the lid has a lion's head carved on it. The handle at the top has a black piece which looks like a black stone material (have no idea what it's made of) T are 4 feet at the bottom shaped like lion's feet The owner believes this was given to her grandmother at her wedding in the 1940's T are a few scratches and t and it could use a little polish This is a fantastic example of a vintage sterling biscuit box.
