This is a super lovely 1940's broken star quilt, made and put away, never used according to the family. Its well made using all cotton solids for the star pieces and then the edge is hand finished with strips of vintage prints, very cute! The hand quilting is marvelous, every large area between the star points is hand quilted in a feathered wreath, 10spi. All the diamonds are also hand quilted around the interior. Corners are rounded. Batting is thin cotton. Backing is white cotton The quilt is free of wear or damage. It has been stored for decades and does have a bit of very light yellowing along one edge on the backside, very faint, didnt show up in the photos. A few pinhead size light spots. No stains or stitching issues. Good sized at 78" x 80" Its a beauty!
