Vintage bronze art medal/paperweight, design and color as shown, of General U.S. Grant, dated 1868(I believe this is a restrike from the early to mid 20th century). Weighs approximately 78.3dwt; measures approximately 2 3/8" in diameter x 1/4" thick. Rim is stamped (A.?) Bovy; under Grant's raised relief "bust": Hugues Bovy Feciti Geneve(Suisse). I know nothing more about the piece, which I recently purchased at an estate sale. I have also pictured the paper from the auction sale w the previous owner possibly purchased it.
