This auction is for a vintage spongeware one handled pot. This is a nice looking pot with a neutral sandy brown color and a brown and dark grey design. It has a diagonal pattern of lines around its lower half and a pattern of shorter lines pointing outward on the bottom along the edge. The pot, which resembles a bean pot, is covered with crazing both inside and out, but it is in good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. The lid, unfortunately, is not included. The pot stands 5 3/8" tall and is 21" around and 5" across the base. For the purposes of fitting a lid, the measurement for the opening is approximately 3 7/8" across between the innermost edges, 4 3/8" across between the inner edges of the lip and 4 5/8" across between the outer edges of the lip.
