VINTAGE BRUNSWICK SNURFER SNOWBOARD SUPER RACING MODEL Midwest is happy to offer you for your consideration this AMAZING official Brunswick "Super Racing Model" Snurfer snowboard in near-mint condition! This is truly a collector's item worthy of ANY sports or sporting good memorabilia collection. The Snurfer snowboards were the very first snowboards ever made - patented in 1965 by Sherman Poppen of Muskegon, Michigan. Originally made as a safe sledding alternative for his children, Poppen sold his patent to the Brunswick Corporation, who began production of the Snurfer in 1966. Brunswick sold Snurfer models for fun, but also for competition. This Snurfer is their top-of-the-line model, the "Super Racing Model." It has a distinctive V-shaped base with a metal keel on the bottom. It is one of the older models, featuring two sets of round grip tracks. The body is of unpainted wood with the red and white racing stripe, red, white & blue "Official Snurfer" logo and white Brunswick logo with "Brunswick Corporation" on the stripe. It comes with the original white nylon cord. What makes this wonderful Snurfer truly awesome is its condition. It is in near-mint condition, with no chips, dents or splitting of the wood, and only one tiny area of scratching.
