VINTAGE BRUSLETTO FIVE (5) INCH FIXED BLADE HUNTING KNIFE WITH LEATHER WASHER HANDLE AND SAFE-LOK SHEATH ! The blade etch is very faint with two (2) words that I can make out, "BRUSLETTO and NORWAY"! T are no other markings on the knife. The sheath is stamped with what I believe is the Norwegin Crest and the first word resembles "SOLINGEN" but it is not. The next is "NORGE" which refers to "NORWAY". The knife and sheath resembles the "MORSETH" knives found in "LEVINE'S GUIDE TO KNIVES", 5th Edition pages 379 thru 381. The blade etch is mentioned and it reads "BRUSLETTO/GEILO/MADE IN NORWAY". Brusletto provided the laminated steel blade blanks which Morseth used for his knives and later, 1971, A.G. Russell purchased the Morseth Company and produced a line of Morseth knives. I don't know for sure but I think Brusletto made laminated steel and blade blanks only and never produced finished knives. If that is true, then this could be a MORSETH or a RUSSELL produced knife! The Safe-Lok sheath was patented in 1951 by Harry Morseth. Add this interesting vintage Norwegin Brusletto to your collection or give someone you know a facinating and useful gift! PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS OF AUCTION END!
