Estate find--I have no history on this clock, although the folks who organized the sale thought it was from the 1960's or so. The clock measures just about 4 1/4" high, by 5 5/8" wide and is at maximum 1 5/8" deep. The rectangular clock is screwed to a wedge shaped brass piece which tilts backward so that viewing the clock is facilitated. The clock weighs 2 1/4 lbs. approximately. It is a wind up--and winds smoothly and has kept time for the past 24 hours -- seems to be working aok. T is scattered discoloration to the brass, scattered on the top and side, mostly concentrated on the back--w it was handled frequently to keep it wound I suspect. The four pieces of rubber or plastic on the base (which keep it from scratching surfaces) are soiled and one can see w they have moved a bit. Markings: on the face of the clock, at top under "XII" Bucr. On face of the clock at bottom over "VI" the number 8 in a triangle, and then the word "Swiss" and then the word "IMHOF". On the verso of the clock: 1636302 and under that 15 jewels. Also: the number 8 in a triangle and the word "SWISS". On the bottom of the clock: 140 900 and under that "SWISS". Also hand imprinted the number 56184--t is a character before that number--looks like it may be "J". I have taken lots of photos--if you need to see something else please email.
