Offered for sale is a vintage Buck model #119 Bowie style fixed-blade knife, ca. early to mid 1960s (pre-1968). This knife features a high-carbon stainless steel blade, a black phenolic handle, and an aluminum pommel and finger guard. T are red spacers between the handle and pommel and between the handle and finger guard. The blade is tang-stamped "Buck," with no other markings. In 1968, Buck started stamping "USA" on their blades. This is a solid knife designed for hunting and heavy duty outdoor use. Length overall: 10-3/8". Included with the knife is a black leather sheath signed Buck. The knife is in excellent condition for its age, and has obviously been used, but not abused. The blade has been sharpened a few times, and appears to be at least 98% intact. Although this knife is well over 40 years old, it will provide many more years of reliable service if properly cared for. For decades, Buck knives have been known to offer a lot of value for the money and hold an edge very well. The early production Buck knives such as this one are especially collectible nowadays. You can own this hard-to-find, early production Buck hunting knife for $149.99.
