Vintage Buco Leather Aviator Flying Helmet Cap- VGC!
This auction is for a vintage aviator helmet or cap made by Buco - label reads:
"A BUCO Product - Joseph Buegeleisen Co. Detroit. "
I do not know the exact age of this helmet, or if it is WWII era or not.
Purple/red color on the tag. Size tag has been removed - looks to be a small size - if any measurement would be helpful please email. It it too small for my husband who wears a 6 & 7/8 size hat.
Very good condition - leather is soft and supple with no cracks or scuff marks. All the stitching and leather is intact without damage except for one 2 inch area along the back w it is missing just a 1/6" piece of trim on the edge (shown in detail pic).
Otherwise this is in very nice shape! Not lined, inside in good shape too. T is extra padding around the ears.
