This auction offers this vintage firemen's helmet manufactured by Cairns & Bros of Clifton, New Jersey. I know very little about this type of equipment so I will describe as best I can. Found this helmet right in Ormond Beach, hense the OBFD on the badge. The badge is heavy black patent leather. The letters and numbers are adhesive. The eagle is printed with the number 1.889.537. The helmet is fitted with clear plexigass visors that move up and down. It also has it's original lining and headliner. I have pictured three labels from the inside of the helmet. The model is 514 or 5H and the size is 6 7/8-7 1/2 medium, adjustable. Overall condition is very good. T are a few scratches in the paint along the brim and at the very top but nothing major.
