You are viewing a Beautiful Metal Cairns & Bros. Senator Fire Helmet . I believe this helmet dates to the 1950's ? It was recently found hanging in the basement of an old Boston area home. The pictures tell the story - this Cairns is in Fantastic shape with glossy yellow paint and no dents . The inner lining & ear flaps are in top-notch shape with no rips or tears. Helmet size is 7 1/2 . Also written on the original tag is 27 1/8 ". The helmet measures 15 inches long and is 11 1/2 inches at it's widest point. The tip of the brass badge bracket appears to be pushed slightly inward (please see photos). I haven't attempted to bend this out as I prefer to leave any "restoration" up to the winning bidder.
