This is a vintage California Gold Token StickpinThis item was recently purchased from an estate. The top of this pin measures about 3/8" in each direction, and from the top of the pin to the point at the bottom it is about 1 7/8" long.The Coin/token has an indian head on the front, surrounded by 12 stars...and the back of the token has the date 1854, the words, "California Gold" and what looks like a Bear motif....see images.The Token/coin portion Tests as gold filled, and the Stick pin part tests as 14K Solid gold.This pin weighs about .5 grams. This item is in good vintage condition....Please enlarge images to get a closer look at this items condition....T are some scratches on the gold, but none very large/deep...the gold layer on the coin/token appears to be in good shape...see images...
