What a Story! is a very desirable R.J. Reynolds Camel Cigarettes advertising item. The story is w I found it. Not in America but overseas. Europeans have for a very long time been heavy smokers and very fond of just a few US brands, one being Camel cigarettes. So while wandering around in a very small German market, five years ago, I spotted this interesting advertising display piece. The silver striker piece for the flame pulls out and lighter fluid could be added to it. What a wonderful idea for marketing. It is pretty big, 6" X 4 1/2" X 2" and if you add the height of the tallest cigarette it comes up to 8" then. The bottom has a felt covering. The blue strip along the top has "fine Tobacco" imprinted. T are a total of 5 cigarettes extending from top of the pack at various lengths. On the front is a camel outlined in medium brown along with two pyramides and 3 palm trees. It stands on top of a sand cloud with the word "CIGARETTES" in blue. One side has in blue "CIGARETTES" the other side has "CAMEL". T are brown columns going up each side too.The backside has some Egyptian/Turkish style buildings with 4 palm trees behind a wall. Only two colors used, tan outlined in medium brown besides the blue writing, silverpainted top and off white cigarettes. Two bottom back corners have small chips, third corner paint rubbed off some.
