This is a beautifully framed art piece where theprint is from 1965. The matting treatment here is exquisite--stunning. The framing is a gold colored wood frame--very nice. This piece would go well into any room environment where a little class is required. Curtis in 1819 with illustrations by Clara Maria Pope ) Clara Maria Pope was an English artist born in 1768. In her early years she derived an income from a modelling career, eventually marrying her primary employer, the artist Francis Wheatley. By the age of twenty-eight she was exhibiting "miniatures" at the Royal Academy, but widowed at the early age of thirty-three. She returned to modeling to support herself and three daughters. She then married for a second time to Alexander Pope, the noted poet and actor of the day.
