VINTAGE CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT DETECT-O-SCOPE with ORIGINAL BOX Rare 1941 Ovaltine Premium of Captain Midnight's Detect O Scope in the original cardboard mailing container.Peer down the red cardboard tube, twist the ridged metal knob to position the metal mirror to " estimate distances, act as a periscope, a cloud sweeping sky scanner and a panorama-scope" as well as see who or what is around the corner!!The mirrored surface is bright and shiny as is the pivot knob. one small knick on reflectorThe painted cardboard tube is in excellent condition and retains its bright red color. Imprinted on the cylinder in bold black printing is:CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT'S DETECT-O-SCOPE.There is a hidden piece of metal inside the red tube. A tab at the end lets you pull it out to reveal an airplane altitude finder!! Comes in original 5 1/4 inch cardboard mailer with Captain Midnight's return address of 860 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
