Vintage large carbon steel carving knife marked Dexter Southbridge Mass on blade and 40914 and Dexter on old rosewood handle. Blade is 14 1/8" and the overall length is 19 5/8" blade has a good deal of very fine scratches from steeling on sides and "Rose" engraved into the blade but nothing glaring or that will detract from the performance. Handle is a little worn from use (including four notches carved in) with one hairline on the left side of the blade between the first rivet and the handle but everything is tight solid w it should be which is no surprise it takes an extremely dedicated idiot to ruin a Dexter they are solid great knives. Blade is reasonably sharp right now but I would be happy to hone it to a razor edge on request. With a nice edge on it this knife will easily slice through the largest roasts in one clean swipe as a good carving knife should, no more pulled apart sawn up slices for this knife's next owner.No sales to minors.
