Vintage Card Shuffler. For your consideration is an older looking box with a mint condition card shuffler inside, and the original directions! What a cool little gizmo! The box reads: Johnson Card Shuffler, Model No. 50, For one, two or three decks, Nestor Johnson Mfg. Co., Chicago 47, Ill., (note the old postal abbreviation, ILL vs. IL). On the metal shuffler itself it states the same thing and has a patent number: 2.706.117. It has a wood handle and wood bar across the top of the contraption, and is 5.75 inches tall x 6 inches wide. What a unique gift this would make for your card-playing friend! (You can always tell if an item is vintage or not just by checking the zip code on it, or lack thereof. The oldest items will not have a zip code on it; somewhat older items will have a zip code, but it will be the longer code than the modern abbreviated code; e.g., Michigan used to be Mich., now it is MI; Alabama used to be Alab., now it is AL; etc.)
