For your consideration is a vintage cardboard train set. It consists of a locomotive, coal car, caboose, box car, coal car, and a liquids carrier car, and a crane car. I am not a train collector, but happened to stumble across this recently. It was very dusty, but still in nice condition. I do not know the manuacturer or date. I could not find any marks. All the wheels turn, and the axles are wooden. There were 3 loose parts. One of them is the steam outlet for on top of the locomotive ( I think), and I didn't know what the other 2 were for. It is fairly good sized. I lined them up on my hot tub for reference. I did discover that during WW2 Lionel trains made cardboard sets. I do not know if this is one of them. Please E-mail me with questions or info if you know more about this set. The train measures 51 inches long, and is 4 1/4" high at highest point. Thanks for looking.
