Up for auction is a classic looking and in very good shape is a Vintage Carriage Candle Lite Lantern. Overall Length 16" / Handle is 6" / Oval Bevel Glass is 6" / Rectangle Bevel Glass is 5" x 4" / Hinged Door 5" x 4" / Holder with set bolt is for an 3/8" rod and Interior is made of highly reflective tin that accomodates a standard candle of 6" +/-. I Completely removed the rust bringing the lantern to the present state by using a metal cleaner which enhanced the original finish on the Lantern. The condition is very good with only a few dents on the handle and hinged door side. The finish after removing years of accumulation is black and the edging around the glass appears to be brass. So whether you purchase this lantern a past carriage relic or use it to light your path on a moonlite night, you will be pleased with its weight and craftsmanship.
