On offer this exquisite oval carved cameo brooch in a highly ornate gold plated setting, the profile portrait cameo is of a Roman looking lady with upswept fancy hair with ringlets, the deep and intricate setting is very well made, it has a hinged pin to the reverse with a roll over safety catch. It has an impressed mark to the back which reads A15C I believe - which leads me to conclude it is gold plated - quite difficult to see. I estimate it was produced circa 1940 - 1950 or thereabouts. The vintage brooch measures approx 2 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide - it is approx ¾ inch deep. On offer with a low start and no reserve.
