This week, we are selling a bunch of our mother's and our own, retro or vintage, jewelry. It is all wonderful and filled with lots of memories for us. Take a look at our other listing and save on shipping! This sale is for a hand carved ivory bracelet, loose beads from a necklace, and a pin. Sheryl has had these stored away for 38 years and they were older when she bought the contents of an old trunk in the late 60's. The trunk was filled with oriental gold and ivory jewelry and art. It may date back another 20 years for a total age of 58 years, at least. These would be pre-banned ivory. The bracelet and beads have stunning hand carved details that are very intricate. Some of the larger beads have had their centers carved out. T is also 1 pierced earring with a gold post. T is still a coarse, cream colored, string with a few beads on it. The closure is made up of two bullet shaped pieces, one male and one female, that are threaded and screw together. Both present. The pin or brooch is a flat surfaced disc with a wonderful oriental character in the center and hand cut delicate shapes, framing the outer ring. T is a silver metal, locking straight pin clasp on the back. The pieces have been stored so most are still a beautiful creamy white. Some of the smooth bead and the bullet closure have yellowed some, w they have been handled. What fabulous additions for a collection and a delight for the eyes! MEASUREMENTS : Bracelet has a 2 3/8" inner dia. and 3 1/4" outer. Pin has a 1 1/2" dia. Largest beads have a 5/8" dia. CONDITION: No cracks, apparent chips, stains, etc. We do our best to offer a selection of antique, unique, retro and down and out fabulous "treasures" so please check our other listings!
