Vintage Carved Wood Santo / Figure - St. Martin de Porres A carved wood figure, (santo) depicting St. Martin de Porres. The carved wood figure stands on a simple wood base. The santo’s head appears to be covered with lead and painted. The halo still has few remnants of gold paint or gilding. 3 1/8” wide x 2 5/8” deep x 9 1/8” tall. Hand written markings on the bottom: “JUDY” and various dates, (please see photos.) The wood figure is missing one of its hands and its two feet. This santo usually holds a crucifix and a broom (both missing here.) The figure has wear, minor dents, and surface scratches, the halo is missing most of its gold paint or gilding, (please see photos.) FINE PRINT: The figure is being offered as is, returns will not be accepted. 1 to 2 pounds boxed weight. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs plus $2.00 handling, which includes delivery confirmation.
