Offered for your consideration is a fine vintage Case XX SC607-6" SSP utility knife. This knife is from W.R. Case & Sons "The Early Americans" series and it's a 10-dot example. The knives in this series were made in several variations over the years. Some used Case's dot dating system, some had the Case XX logo embossed on the handles, etc. The knife has seen light use and remains very nice with no problems. It has not been cleaned or buffed and remains original. The blade has been only lightly honed and remains close to full. It's free of grinder marks or harsh sharpening abrasions. The blade markings remain fully visible and bold. The edge is free of any nicks, chips, dings, or damage. It remains nice and could use a quick touch-up. The needle-sharp tip is intact and original with no blunting, burrs, or damage. The hardwood handle was tightly pinned and remains very nice as well. It shows almosr none of the dishwasher bleaching, fade, and gapping that's so common to these knives. The wood remains dark and rich with a silky-smooth feel in the hand. It's free of any cracks, chips, gouges, or dents and it has a great look. The knife measures just under 10-3/4" in overall length. This would be a great piece for the Case collector and/or someone with an old 10-dot set. Of course, it would also be fine as a stand-alone knife. A very read more
