VINTAGE CASH FAMILY/CLINCHFIELD ARTWARE POTTERY PINECONE PITCHER This is a pretty & rare Pottery Pitcher made by Cash Family/Clinchfield Artware Pottery. It is the highly sought after Pine Cone Pattern & an unusual shape - Squared. Not the shapes you normally see. It is called a "Refrigerator Pitcher" according to one of the best known collectors of Cash Pottery - W. Allison Burnette, Jr. in his book, "The Collector's Guide To Cash Family/Clinchfield Artware Pottery". It is also an advertising piece for Mt. Mitchell, NC. It stands at a sweet 6.5" High x 5" Wide. It has lovely Pine Cones & Needles Hand-Painted Under the Glaze on one side & Mt. Mitchell, NC Elev. 6684 ft. on the back. It has the original price of $2.00 on the bottom! This was produced in the 1940's when they sold their pottery on the side of the road at local attraction sites. It has No Chips, Cracks or Crazing Present.
