These are original cast brass with a gilded bronze finish Hubley native american indian on pony western bookends. You can find these pictured in the Hubley catalogues from 1924 to about 1932. They are "in the round" bookends which means they are three dimensional or fully figural. So they can be displayed either in the front or the back, both sides being equally finished. This also means that Hubley did not put a number or made in USA on these in the round bookends since it could show when used. But these are that old, about 80 years, and are guaranteed old, genuine and as represented. Even the original green felts are on the bases. They measure 6 inches tall and weigh 7 pounds the pair. they show a native american indian warrior or brave, dressed only in loincloth and eagle feather in headdress and braids, atop an indian pony, and carrying a tomahawk. These are in great condition with the gilded bronze finish haveing a perfect antique patina. Thanks for looking and please see my other auctions for more antique and vintage cast metal bookends and doorstops that I will combine on shipping whenever possible.
