Art Deco Cast Iron Parrot Lamp with its Original Mica Cage lampshade 15" x 9" x 5" painted metal lamp in terrific condition. It looks good...and WORKS. I have two installed in my entry , this third one I used on a bedside table, but my own Amazon parrot was getting too interested in it. Before he ruined the original mica insert in the shade(or ate the cord) I had to put it away. The cord is not original, but is unobtrusive(amber color, translucent.) The paint is great..a little age showing. The onyx ball is unchipped(whoops..has tiny chip I never noticed before). This lamp is made by the Diamond Manufacturing Co. of Cleveland ,OH. It is referenced in "Electric Lighting of the 20's and 30's" Vol. 2. If you would like to know more about who you are buying from...visit my fine art site at . I sell ceramic tile paintings. If you go to the Statement page t is a picture of the parrot I am trying to protect from electrocution. SHIPPING: I do not trust a package to be handled Â"with careÂ" by delivery people so I PACK. I donÂ't skimp on packing materials. I bubble wrap and double box. I will pay special attention to the mica shade. This item is from my own collection and I have loved this lamp for years . I want you to enjoy it too. I will ship this item for $15.00 (insured) anyw in the continental USA . RETURN POLICY: Return on flaky whim and I refund cost of item. Return for most good reasons I return cost plus shipping, one way. Return for HUGE goof on my part, I return cost plus shipping both ways. eBay should be fun!!!!!! The paint is great..a little age showing. The onyx ball is has a small chip. Chip is .15mm by .5mm approx. If it were ceramic I would say an internal ,trapped bit of something broke its way out. since I don't know what this onyx/glass ball is...I can't say.I tried to clean up the area and then couldn't see it to photo so inked the edge a bit to map it out.(not trying to minimize the problem...just hard to photo because of glare). It is a sharp edge(not worn.) I am pretty sure all these lamp parts are removable and modular to fit in a different old ball could be possible for you. The mica lampshade is the real treasure, along with the nice polychrome finish. This lamp is made by the Diamond Manufacturing Co. of Cleveland ,OH.
