VINTAGE PORCH LAMP CAST IRON & FROSTED GLASS VERY NICE ************************* The lamp in the pictures is the lamp you are bidding on. I believe it to be an original lamp and not a reproduction. This lamp would look great indside or outside in either new or old construction, so pay attention! This auction is for an original, vintage, cast iron and frosted glass wall sconce / porch lamp. The cast iron base measures 9 3/4 inches high X 5 1/4 inches wide. When mounted the lamp sticks out a total of about 5 1/4 inches from the wall. The lamp parts are in excellent condition. The wiring is old and should be replaced. With a little cleaning and a bit of new wiring this lamp will be ready to mount. The cast iron base was painted gold a long time ago. The gold paint is still intact on the back side of the iron base where it does not show when the lamp is mounted. Looking at the iron that shows on the face of the lamp, the gold paint has all but faded and the iron has a wonderful patina. It was cast with a very nice embossed design. The frosted glass is in nice shape with no cracks and only a few “flea bite” marks on the edge that do not show when the glass is mounted in the base.
