RARE Vintage Cast-Iron Railroad Crossing Sign > Antique Old Train Warning 8712Up for your consideration is a set of vintage cast-iron railroad crossing signs. This auction includes one complete set or one "X". This sign is extremely heavy weighing in at over 126 pounds. It was found partially buried in a field in eastern Nebraska. This sign is double-sided. The markings "railroad crossing" are made in the casting. These cast-iron signs are getting harder and harder to find, don't let this one get away!Approximate MeasurementsEach one measures 72 1/2 inches long and 10 inches wide. Each one is 1/2 inch thick. 126 poundsMarkingsRailroad Crossing (on both sides)ConditionIt is in good condition for its age. Each one is warped severely. Also each one has a small crack on top in the center, see pictures. They also have moderate to severe surface rust and pitting.
