Up for auction is a a very old model 500 nutcracker in its original box and most likely has never been used. It is really great for bigger nuts such as chestnuts, walnuts, and big pecans. "Squirrel Nutcracker" is embossed on one side of its handles. The outside of the box says "Squirrel Nutcracker "Breaks the shell not the kernel" and Berco Enterprises, Miami, Okla. This nutcracker is a treasure for collectors and still very useful. It comes from the estate sale of an old gentleman. I would guess it's pre-1940.
