Vintage Catalin/Bakelite Mah Jongg Set. This set is in its original faux-leather finished case. The case is quite worn, although intact. The faux-leather is a deep blue color, almost black. The case measures 20 long by 6 ½ wide by 4 ½ high. Inside there is a tray, which holds the tiles, 160 in all, 2 dice, a number of chips and a Rules booklet from the National Mah Jongg League, dated 1959. We are not sure if all tiles are present because we are not familiar with the game. We are not sure that the booklet goes with this set, which we estimate is more likely vintage 1930s. Under the tile tray there are five wooden trays. Each tray has stacks of chips in different colors. The contents are in great condition. The major wear is noted on the exterior of the box with less wear inside. Return privilege guaranteed.
