Up for auction is a vintage Catalina Island Pottery Coffee Server with Warming Stand. The bottom of the server is incised "Catalina". This coffee server has a great glaze color called "monterey brown", which is a red orange color with some brown showing through. The handle is made of wood. This server was made on Catalina Island, California sometime between 1932 and 1937 before Gladding McBean bought the company. It comes with its original warming stand, which is made of painted metal with a brass burner. The server and its lid are in very good condition with no cracks, chips, hairlines, crazing, or repairs. The stand is also in very good condition. The server measures approximately 8 ½ tall and 10 inches wide from the end of the handle to opposite edge. The stand measures approximately 5 inches tall. The server and stand together measure approximately 12 ½ inches tall. It comes from a smoke free home.Payment must be received within 7 days after end of auction.
